Condo did meet our expectations for our visit. Both bathrooms provided us with the necessary space to "get ready" at the same time. Kitchen was adequately supplied with the necessities, and multiple televisions made both of us happy. Problem did occur with washing machine that was not able to be fixed during our stay, but fortunately we were visiting family in the area.
we were very happily installed in this condo. The location is truly FUN and practical. It ended up being very close to our daughter's home off of 9th Street in the Historic District. We used the light rail to travel to town and to the YMCA to swim in the larger pool The pool on the premises is very refreshing and seemed to have very little chlorine which is alwys a plus. WE slept like babies and enjoyed being close to Trader Joes, Sprouts and WHole Foods off of Camelback and 20th. The showers were also a plus. Thank you Brooke
This was a very comfortable and very nice condo in a gated condo community. The property was exceptionally clean. The owner is extremely professional and great at communicating everything we needed. The condo is supplied with everything we could ever think to need for a few days stay. We loved the location - its very close to downtown, and has great access to the other Phoenix hot spots such as Tempe and Scottsdale. It has great freeway access, so it was perfect for a a visitor who planned to go to numerous spring training ballparks. We hope to stay here again on our annual spring training trip.
This property was very clean and we stayed here for a total of about 2 weeks (with a week away between each week). The apartment is very centrally located and is a short drive to many shopping and dining areas. It is gated and the pool was pleasant with a welcoming waterfall structure attached to it. There is fast and reliable wi-fi which was very important for us. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. I wasn't sure if Brooke (agent) stocked the kitchen with some chopsticks because I mentioned my mother was flying in from Japan, but that was very nice to have! Very thoughtful indeed. It was also convenient that one could watch DVDs in both bedrooms as well -- the players were built into the flatscreen TVs on the walls to save space. Clever! It states in the description that there are 2 showers, but people may still miss it -- there are literally 2 shower areas (beautifully upgraded, but no tubs). This is fine for most of us but a little inconvenient for my aging mother so I had to bring a shower chair (like the ones they have in a hospital) for her use. During our second week, one of the sinks was out of order so it was a bit inconvenient, but I'm sure Brooke will look into that asap. Otherwise the stay was very comfortable, and it was great to have one covered parking spot. Brooke was extremely responsive to any questions we had. This apartment is great for families (with older or well-behaved children who won't jump and run around too much because there are people living downstairs), couples, and travelling friends. Might not be for fragile elderly folks due to stairs and shower-only bathrooms, but we highly recommend this property for everyone else!
My husband and I just wanted to escape the winter months and go to a warmer place. So we did a long weekend in Arizona. It was our first time there and it was all well worth it. Staying at Elm was just perfect. We really liked that it was so central. I really liked the variety of restaurants and how easy it was to get to them. The place was just so clean and we had everything we needed. From great appliances to even a very comfortable bed which is always a bonus. We will be for sure coming back!
Had a great stay while waiting for our home to close escrow a few miles away. The location is great because of the freeway access either way and the choice of restaurants just a few miles away. You can walk to light rail and go to restaurants downtown Phoenix and even Tempe. The condo was clean and complex is kept nice. Location from parking to front door is nice especially for carrying groceries.
We are two senior couples vacationing in the PHX area for the first time and selected Brooke's place based on the VRBO reviews. Owning a VRBO property ourselves, we know how important the reviews are in selecting a place to stay. In the 6 days we stayed we took in 4 Spring Training games at 4 stadiums on the west side of PHX and got to each of them within about 20-25 minutes. We also took a day trip up to Sedona and grabbed I-17 just a few minutes from our door, finally we visited Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West museum in NE Scottsdale and got there in less than 35 minutes. The place itself, as other reviewers have noted, was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed and worked like a charm for those meals we chose to have there (great restaurants are pretty close by as well.) Also, having a covered parking space in the PHX is a must when going out to your car in the morning heat. Brooke was great in providing simple and accurate instructions on arriving and departing the property and answered all other questions as well. The internet and cable service was top notch as well. If we return to the PHX area for another stay, this property will be on top of our list. Thanks again Brooke
Had such a nice time staying at Brooke's place with my 2 teenage boys during our first Spring Training trip. Great kitchen, plenty of space so we all had room to spread out when we needed it. The boys loved the high speed internet access. Everything was clean and well outfitted. It was very centrally located for all of our various ball park and golf locations; which took us east, west, north and south. I especially appreciated how organized and helpful Brooke was. Thanks!!
We were in town to see the football game. Arrive on Saturday, gone on Monday. I was happy with the property. It was a great location and the condo was very clean. We didn't eat at the condo so I can't address how it would be for cooking. We had to buy bath soap. That surprised us. Also, it was hard to find out where channels were located on the TV. Neither of these are deal breaker things but they are worth noting. I've already given Brooke this feedback so I'm sure she will address them. It was on the second floor so if anyone has disabilities that could be a consideration.
We had a wonderful time in your condo, Brooke! You were great to work with and everything was perfectly clean and fully stocked up for us. My kids loved being so close to the pool and having so many tvs and high speed wifi internet, We really enjoyed everything you had available for cooking dinner and making ourselves feel at home. This was so much more comfortable for us than a hotel ever could be. Thank you!!! We will be back and I hope others read this and stay there too so they can enjoy it just as much as we did. Excellent experience for first time VRBO vacation renters!!
I flew to Phoenix to attend family weekend at my son's college. The location was perfect, GCU was just 12 minutes away right down Camelback. Now, about the condo... perfect in everyway! Everything in the condo seems brand new and sparkling clean. I rent condo's for travel quite often, I can honestly say this is the cleanest condo I have ever stayed in. Brooke has the kitchen stocked with everything you need, right down to a extensive spice rack. The secure, gated complex is situated on a quiet street, very close to many great dining options, grocery stores, and light rail just one block away. All the rooms spacious and decorated with class and care. The beds were very comfortable and the high-end linens were icing on the cake! The pool is just steps away from the unit. There are lounge chairs, outdoor dining tables and a bbq. The pool was sparkling clean and refreshing. I only encountered one other person at the pool (a very nice owner of a condo in the development, who gave me tips for dining in the area :-)) The condo has a "Welcome Home" binder that is filled with information about the area including a restaurant guide. Brooke, thank you for your prompt, and kind consideration to all of my questions. I'm going to miss having my coffee on your private deck every morning looking out at the beautiful Camelback mountain and listening to the birds singing. I look forward to renting from you again in the future!
My wife and I enjoyed our stay here so much and will be back!! We loved the extra special touches, decorations, soft linens, Keurig coffee machine and flat screens with DVD players in the bedrooms. The patio was nice for sitting out and listening to the birds in the trees. Very peaceful place! Also great restaurants within a very short drive.
My sister and I came to visit family but not stay with them, if you get my drift. This place was perfect. We each had our own bedroom and bath, and our own TVs. We mostly dined out but found the kitchen well equipped down to our favorite coffee! Yay. Love that it's so close to freeways and light rail. We zipped all over town in no time. P.S. Great beds and linens.
This condo was perfect for our stay. I came to town for work and had my mom and baby along with me. We had plenty of room and the place had more than we needed. It was perfect! There was also a desk in my room so that was nice for getting a little work done at home. And the place is decorated so nicely and has comfy beds and linens--a must in my book! This worked out much better than a hotel for us. The location was great too--there are a few restaurants nearby that we will eat at again. We will be back to stay here!
My family of two adults and 3 kids stayed in this condo while visiting with family in the Phoenix area in December of 2013. The condo is gorgeous and everything is beautiful and clean on the inside. My kids thought they had hit the jackpot! My older son slept on the pull out couch and was very comfortable. The condo is very close to everything and there were some great restaurants nearby. There was a Keurig and the little things to make coffee. Jackpot! The condo is upstairs and close the the front of the gated complex which makes it very quiet and easy to carry your stuff upstairs and you have a nice view if the pool. We can't wait to come back and stay in this condo again for our daugnter's volleyball tourney's or our son's baseball tourneys all in the Phoenix area. I would highly recommend this condo! It is beautiful, clean, nice and new on the inside and well appointed! Just a great place to stay! Brooke was an awesome person to work with! Stay here- you won't regret it!
Very nice place to spend 5 or so days in Phoenix. Large living area, nice kitchen, two large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The grounds are nice and the area very quiet - easy to sleep at night. Brooke provided a nice selection of keurig coffees which was unexpected, but very nice. Thanks for a great stay!
We met friends from CA to go to the quilt show and Botanical Gardens and of course dining. The location was great for easy access to our intended destinations. The condo is well appointed. Brooke was easy to work with, everything ran as we would expect. Related to the location, I will throw in a plug for The Barrio restaurant (about 4 miles away) and Frank & Lupe's Old Mexico (maybe 8 miles away) if your palate is so inclined.
We stayed here for 10 days while visiting our daughter nearby. The condo is very nice, with comfortable furniture, bedding, and well equipped kitchen. It is in a gated complex with very nice grounds. Since the unit is near the front of the complex, it has the feel of a much smaller development. The balcony in front overlooks the cul-de-sac in front and the clubhouse and pool are visible off to the side. It is very handy to a supermarket (Fry's), Starbucks, and a number of restaurants. We didn't ride the light rail, but the closest stop is a short walk on Camelback. It has easy access to the Squaw Peak Mountain Preserve, which is about 3 miles away.
We enjoyed staying here so much that when we found out the condo was available for a few more days we actually extended our stay. The condo is clean, decorated very nicely and has everything you would need for a getaway. The light rail is very close and within walking distance, the antique shops were just down the road too. Brooke was awesome to deal with, great communication and made our stay perfect.
During our stay we had everything we needed in the condo and locally. Complex has beautiful grounds and there are new hip dining spots right around the corner. Brooke was great and was able to answer all of our questions about the area. I would recommend this condo to anyone that wants to have access to Phoenix amenities but wants peace and quite when at the condo. Thanks Brooke we will be back!!
My sister and I stayed in Brooke's well-appointed condo as a mini vacation and excuse to Christmas shop. The condo was very clean and comfortable and had good beds and linens. As both my sister and I enjoy cooking, we very much appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. It was truly a treat to have sharp knives and a good assortment of herbs and spices, as well as high quality dinnerware and pots and pans - definitely one of the best-stocked VRBO kitchens we've encountered in out travels across several continents. Brooke, the owner, was very easy to work with throughout the booking process and was available and willing to help should the need arise. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable place to stay in Phoenix, and want the comfort of knowing the owner is there for you, then I would highly recommend this property for your stay.
Met friends from other cities for a girls get away. Condo was perfect, central location with easy access to everything - grocery store, restaurants, sites and activities. Quiet and well maintained complex. Had never been to Phoenix before but very easy to get around. Welcome book in the condo was helpful- found several great restaurants using the book. Condo provides so much more space to relax than a hotel; great amenities.
This condo was absolutely wonderful! Brooke was prompt and easy to work with and the place is brand-new so we were the first to stay! Since there were no reviews we were little hesitant to book it but I'm so glad we did! The location is very central. We were in town to golf, do some shipping and visit some museums so this spot was perfect--close to the freeways and some new restaurants on Central. We liked being upstairs for the view and added security plus it was so quiet but it wouldn't work for my mother in law that has a walker or someone in a wheelchair. All the special details that were put into place really made our stay very very comfortable. The beds are so comfortable (one is firm and one is soft but not too soft so everyone's happy! I wish we could stay longer. We will definitely be back!
So my husband and I booked this placed because it looked very cozy and nearby many city activities. When we entered the place it was way better than the pictures shown on the site. The apartment was great from the amazing bedding to all kinds of kitchen appliances to eat in and make a nice dish. I also liked that the place was very central. We could go hiking to South Mountain which was a nice adventure and then go back and change to have a nice dinner in the city. The area overall is very trendy and you have a lot of cute restaurants that are family owned. I like this sort of offerings in the city. My in-laws are planning on going to Arizona for golfing and I already told them about this place. I am sure they will like it. I am sure Brooke will take care of them as she did with us. I guess I would have to say that having the warn welcome and help by Brooke did make a difference during our stay. I miss this customer service at some of the other places we have stayed. She did make a difference and that is why I want to thank her for all she did for us. Dear Brooke you will see us back in the near future.
